Escape From Cubicle Nation

Escape From Cubicle Nation, From Corporate Prisoner to Thriving Entrepreneur, is a new book by Pamela Slim. I recently read a very interesting interview with Pam on the Open Forum (by American Express) blog: http://blogs.openforum.com/2009/05/03/how-to-escape-mundanity/ in which she discusses things like the right time to start your own business, quitting your day job, etc. It was a great reminder to me why I myself started this entrepreneurship journey, and a good motivator for those times when you start to second guess a few things. It seems like a good way to stay on track, too. You can download an excerpt from Chapter 1 from her website: http://www.escapefromcubiclenation.com/. Great if you're thinking about striking out on your own, breaking the apron strings to your day job, or need a fresh shot in the arm to kick it into gear. If anyone has read this book already, or has started it, let me know what you think. It's definitely on my reading list.
